Job Description

1. Collaborate with clients and internal teams – Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their design requirements, objectives, and target audience. Actively participate in meetings and discussions to gather necessary information and provide design recommendations.
2. Design and layout creation – Utilize your expertise in graphic design software (such as Adobe Creative Suite) to develop visually appealing and effective designs for a wide range of print materials. This includes but is not limited to brochures, flyers, banners, posters, business cards, packaging, and promotional materials.
3. Ensure print-ready files – Prepare and optimize designs for print production, ensuring that they meet all technical specifications and requirements. This includes selecting appropriate color profiles, image resolutions, and file formats, and ensuring proper bleeds and margins.
4. Proofreading and quality control – Conduct thorough proofreading and quality checks on all designs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines. Verify that all text, images, and other visual elements are correct and error-free before finalizing print-ready files.
5. Stay updated on industry trends – Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in graphic design and printing. Continuously enhance your skills and knowledge to deliver cutting-edge and innovative print designs.
6. Collaborate with printing vendors – Liaise with printing vendors to communicate project specifications, resolve any technical issues, and ensure the smooth execution of print production. Provide guidance on print finishes, materials, and techniques to achieve the desired results.
7. Time and project management – Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining the highest level of quality. Prioritize tasks effectively, communicate project status, and proactively seek feedback to ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proficiency in design software - Have advanced knowledge and expertise in industry-standard graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Typography - Understanding typography principles, including font selection, spacing, and hierarchy, is essential for creating visually appealing and readable designs.
  • Color theory - Knowledge of color theory, including color combinations, contrast, and the psychology of colors, helps graphic designers effectively use color in their designs.
  • Image editing and manipulation - Should be proficient in editing and manipulating images to enhance their visual impact and integrate them seamlessly into designs.
  • Layout and composition - Understanding design principles such as balance, proportion, alignment, and visual hierarchy is crucial for creating aesthetically pleasing and well-structured designs.
  • Print production - Familiarity with print production processes, including file preparation, color management, and understanding different printing techniques, is essential for graphic designers working in print-related roles.
  • Web design basics - Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web design principles can be beneficial for graphic designers involved in creating designs for online platforms.
